Cherry’s Delivers Low-Profile Pallet Trucks to Improve Safety and Efficiency for Sherwin-Williams

Post By admin

As a worldwide paint and general building solutions provider, Sherwin-Williams is committed to ensuring that work environments are safe and healthy for its employees. It became apparent that there was an increase in work-related injuries for delivery drivers, prompting the company to identify a way to eliminate hazards. Many incidents resulted from manually pushing and pulling heavy boxes and materials while out on routes. Nearly 93% of the recorded injuries came from using manual pallet trucks.

Previously, Sherwin-Williams used electrical pallet trucks to help prevent injuries. But the size of the equipment took up too much space inside the truck, and the units were expensive, heavy and difficult to maneuver. Other options lacked the necessary battery life, resulting in shipment delays. The company’s desired outcome for the electric pallet truck included protecting drivers and increasing productivity and efficiency.
